The Short Version

Your files never leave your device. All PDF and image processing happens entirely in your web browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. We have no servers that receive, store, or process your files.

1. Information We Collect

LovePDFs does not collect personal information. We do not require registration, login, or any account creation.

We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage analytics (page views, tool clicks) to understand which features are popular. This data contains no personally identifiable information and cannot be linked to you.

2. Your Files & Documents

Your files are processed 100% locally in your browser. When you upload a PDF or image to LovePDFs:

• The file is loaded into your browser's memory only
• Processing is done by JavaScript running on your device
• The file is never transmitted to any server
• We never see, store, or have access to your file contents
• Closing the browser tab permanently removes all traces of the file

3. Cookies & Local Storage

We use localStorage (a browser feature) to store your dark/light mode preference and your file processing history. This data lives only on your device and is never sent to us.

We may use minimal technical cookies for basic website functionality. We do not use tracking, advertising, or third-party analytics cookies.

4. Third-Party Services

LovePDFs loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). This may expose your IP address to Google in accordance with Google's own Privacy Policy. No other third-party services are loaded.

PDF processing libraries (pdf-lib, PDF.js) are loaded from trusted CDN providers (cdnjs.cloudflare.com). These are open-source libraries that run locally in your browser.

5. Data Retention

Because we don't collect your data, there is nothing for us to retain. Your processing history is stored locally in your browser and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage.

6. Children's Privacy

LovePDFs is a general-purpose tool service. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the date below and posting a notice on the homepage. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
